Technology Training: CS50x Portland State
Offered Summer 2019 as WR510, this course is a self-paced introduction to computer science and programming using the content of Harvard's open-source, on-line framework, CS50x. Students enrolled in WR510 work through CS50x at their own pace, and meet once a week for 8 weeks to receive guidance from their peers and from the instructors.
We are thrilled to have Zalika Ockleberry of New Relic as our course session leader.
The instructor of record is Sarah Read, director of the Master's in Technical and Professional Writing program.
This pilot effort is funded by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an effort to bring computer science and programming training to graduate students across disciplines.
